Katrina Stephenson is a local girl who loves God, music, and the Oxford comma. Born and raised in Bryan/College Station, Katrina graduated from Bryan High School (where she was part of both the band and the choir), and has long been a member of First Baptist Church Bryan. Coming from a musical family, she has been performing since she could talk, including studying percussion (from age 11), advanced voice (from age 8), handbells (from age 7), piano (from age 5), and dance (from age 3).
Her first foray into theatre was in her Kindergarten production of Little Bear Blue, where she played the lead role (opposite another redhead, named Henry, as the bear). She continued with school plays and church musicals until middle school, where she decided to focus more heavily on vocal and musical performance and competitive dance. Katrina has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, prop, Broadway, drill team, Latin styles, belly dance, and cheerleading.
However, Katrina couldn’t stay away from theatre forever! In 2010, she was cast as Nun/Housemaid in Light in the Piazza at The Theatre Company in Bryan, followed by a 2012 turn as Texas in Brazos Valley Players’ production of Cabaret. Since that time, she has appeared in several shows at StageCenter Theatre, including You Can’t Take It With You, Alone Together, and Dirty Work at the Crossroads.
