Neighborhood 3:requisition of Doom

In a suburban subdivision with identical houses, parents find their teenagers addicted to an online horror video game. The game setting? A subdivision with identical houses. The goal? Smash through an army of zombies to escape the neighborhood for good. But as the line blurs between virtual and reality, both parents and players realize that fear has a life of its own.

Role comes with a stipend

We are seeking Men, ages 18-50 who are available for the following dates:

Rehearsals: March 16-April 15 (minimal conflicts acceptable)
Tech/Dress: April 16, 18, 19 (mandatory)
Performances: April 20-23, 27-30 (mandatory)

Auditions will be March 5th, 8-10pm.

Megan Shepard is positive that Jabari Woods is the man who assaulted her and left her for dead in a local park. Nikki Woods knows her husband was home with his family the entire time. And Gloria Woods knows only that she wants her son out of prison. A play about memory, justice, and living with a loved one behind bars.

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Description: The production manager is an Ensemble Member who works closely with the Artistic Director to plan and execute the season, assist with fundraising and advertising solicitation, plan and track financial expenses, plan and run guest artist and ensemble member auditions/interviews, assist with marketing (including class and student organization visits), and assist with miscellaneous other projects.

Pay: Stipend on a per-production basis, equal to all other ensemble members. Exact amount varies, and can be discussed at interview. It's not a lot right now, but we're working on making it more!

Hours: As this position is an "independent contractor" and not an employee, hours are to be determined by the Production Manager, with the understanding that some amount of work with the Artistic Director is required. Applicants should expect to work an average of 8-10 hours/week during productions and 2-3 hours/week during non production times. These are averages, so it can vary wildly.

Requirements: 

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Passion about the mission of This Is Water Theatre
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Strong public speaking skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Theatre experience
  • Budget experience
  • Experience with spreadsheets and Quickbooks
  • Evening availability (during productions) to help work box office

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Description: The social media intern works closely with the Artistic Director and Production Manager to develop and implement a social media presence for This Is Water Theatre. This includes developing a schedule for posts during and in between productions, training others on social media platform usage, and expanding/prioritizing social media platform usage for maximum impact to target audience.

Pay: Small stipend on a semester basis. Negotiable, though we can guarantee that it won't be nearly enough. But we don't believe in completely unpaid internships, so we'll definitely pay you something!

Hours: As this position is an "independent contractor" and not an employee, hours are to be determined by the Social Media Intern, with the understanding that some amount of work with the Artistic Director and/or production manager is required. Applicants should expect to work 2-3 hours/week.

Requirements: 

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Passion about the mission of This Is Water Theatre
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms
  • Marketing experience, either classwork or real-world
  • Willingness to think outside the box

Preferred Experience:

  • Theatre experience
